Denis Buckley
Denis Buckley, born and raised in Cork, Ireland, in 1954, trained in garden design and gardening at the National Botanic Gardens, Dublin, before moving to Germany in 1979. In the Palmengarten in Frankfurt am Main, he worked as an orchid specialist for seven years. After qualifying as a language teacher and translator in 1993, he worked for international companies. In 2005 he acquired German citizenship. Denis Buckley lives in Frankfurt am Main and works in his studio at Waechtersbacher Strasse 84.
Denis Buckley has been painting since his early youth and has studied watercolor and acrylic painting in courses in Ireland, France, Spain, Austria and Switzerland. His pictures were successfully presented to the public in various exhibitions, including in 2007 and 2008 in the major annual exhibition of the
Frankfurt International School, Oberursel
or in a large solo exhibition in
Sankt Katharinen Hospital, Frankfurt am Main.
In 2016 he took part in the LE STANZE DELL'ARTE in Florence, in 2019 there was a large exhibition on the topic "Zanzibar" in the
Fredenhagen factory
in Offenbach and several exhibitions in the Atelierhaus Waechtersbacher Strasse in Frankfurt. International exhibitions are currently planned.
